Eagle Creek grew from Tom Suddes' vision and belief around experiential learning and training. He wanted to create a space were companies, non-profits and sports teams could come to practice their skills and therefore increase their performance in the workplace.
In 1993, Eagle Creek started with the traditional concepts of Experiential Learning and Teambuilding. With the help of facilitators like Bill Ashby, Brian Driscoll, Paul Oliverio, Mitch Potterf, Scott McLaughlin, Al Montalvo, Natalie Shope and Kerry Suddes, Eagle Creek began working with many of the major companies in Central Ohio and around the country.
In 1999, the introduction of the Big Rocks Learning Framework began a new kind of accelerated learning process. Eagle Creek now focuses on building client relationship through three main areas: Training Program Design and Development, Facilitation and Meeting and Event Services. The major focus is Team Development through a process of Program Discovery, Implementation and Follow-up.

The Eagle Creek campus was originally envisioned to be the home office and retreat center for The Suddes Group, a non-profit consulting and training firm. The Suddes Group, described as a "maverick consulting firm" by Inc. Magazine, pioneered professional major gift solicitation; creative processes for capital campaigns; focusing on staff versus volunteer solicitation; the nonprofit relationship management process, and more. The Suddes Group created the business model of hands-on, professional major gift solicitation, which was quite a contradiction to the standard fundraising model of consultants just advising organizations and volunteer leaders on how to raise money. |
